first powerlifting meet- ⁣
so thankful for this ongoing journey shared with many & those yet to come inshallah (if allah wills)⁣⁣
immense gratitude to- friends and family who supported me on meet day, @aconley_ for guiding & training me despite our journey starting in the early summer, @alpha_omega_gym my local gym and event host, for fostering an incredible community @maddawgmedia for capturing these beautiful moments everyone participating in @usapowerliftingohio⁣⁣
𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬-⁣ placed 1st in my weight class & needed less then 100lbs in my to total to qualify for nationals. went 8/9, totaling 287.5kg/633.8lb⁣⁣

Happy with the results as I place first in the 90kg teen 2 division and second in the open 90kg weight class but I definitely still have a lot to learn but I can now say that I’ve passed out 💪

Loved competing against myself! Loved the environment and how people where both intense as well as uplifting. Thank you everyone who supported, my dad for doing his best to be there, my coach @tbrege for pushing through my inconsistency (ik I need to eat more), @gina.digirolamo for coaching at the meet and enduring me these past months, @alpha_omega_gym for the great meet, @usapowerlifting for the great judges and @ut_powerlifting for the best lifters and loaders💪🏽.

1st Meet Recap:

Super happy with how everything had turned out for the day especially for it being my first Powerlifting Meet. I’d like to thank everyone that I’ve met along this journey From Jekyll and from everywhere else that I’ve visited. I’d like to give the biggest thank you to my best friends, Cole my training partner and then Dom my training partner but more importantly my coach, nothing that I’ve accomplished wouldn’t have been possible without you guys. I’d like to thank everyone who came out to support me and to the ones who watched on the livestream it means a lot to me!

Overall I went 7/9, Hit a new deadlift PR, and totaled 1,129/512.5KG

Thanks to @alpha_omega_gym for a very smooth meet.

Today it didn’t go as planned and I didn’t execute as I wanted to but I’ll come back stronger.

250kg/551lbs 🔴 - depth - will fix this for next time
252.5kg/556lbs 🔴 - depth and having my wrist wraps 2cm above my wrist.

155kg/342lbs 🔴 - technical issue causing me to lose the bar path

not the day i went in hoping for but i learned a lot and have an idea of what i can do to improve my prep going into next meet. that being said still went 7/9, all of my squat attempts were meet PRs, the final being an all time PR, and a deadlift meet PR/conventional all time PR, and managed to squeak out the 2nd place in the 100kg juniors and open!

Squats

1st - 207.5kg/457.5lbs meet PR
2nd - 215kg/474lbs meet PR
3rd - 230kg/507.1lbs meet and all time PR

Bench
1st - 142.5kg/314.2lbs (called for my heel coming up on one side and the other foot rolling onto its side)
2nd - 142.5kg/314.2lbs
3rd - 152.5kg/336.2lbs (sent it for a meet PR just wasn’t gonna happen on the day)

Deads

1st - 225kg/496lbs
2nd - 237.5kg/523.6lbs
3rd - 252.5kg/556.7lbs meet and all time PR

Total - 625kg/1377.9lbs

once again thank you to @alpha_omega_gym and @usapowerliftingohio @usapowerlifting for putting on a great meet and to all of the spotters, loaders, judges and everyone else that helped make the day happen!
